Shopping for flowers in Bloomsbury

Saturday 11th-Sunday 12th October

Let’s spend an indulgent weekend together exploring Bloomsbury - the place where Virginia Woolf - author of ‘Mrs Dalloway’ - spent her days as a member of the famous Bloomsbury Group. Book here or find out more below!

We’ll begin our Saturday at 10am at the beautiful St. George’s Church in Bloomsbury, just a stone’s throw from where Virginia Woolf once lived. First we’ll get to know each other over coffee and pastries. All the important thigs in life first, of course!

Inside this historic space, we’ll then roll up our sleeves for a linocut printmaking workshop, led by Robyn and inspired by the bold, expressive work of Vanessa Bell. Don’t worry if you’ve never tried anything like this before—all materials are provided and no experience is necessary.

After our workshop we’ll relax for lunch before regrouping for an afternoon visit to The Courtauld Gallery. Set within the elegant Somerset House, this treasure trove includes work by members of the Bloomsbury Group, alongside a rich collection of modern art. There’ll be time to wander, reflect, and soak up the atmosphere at your own pace.

In the evening, we’ll gather at The Woolf & Whistle, an art-deco-inspired pub overlooking Tavistock Square Gardens. Here we’ll chat ‘Mrs Dalloway’ and all things Bloomsbury Group. Expect great conversation, games and lots of party talk!

We’ll spend the night at The Tavistock Hotel - conveniently located exactly where we’ll dine so not far to reach our beds after a long day.

On Sunday, we’ll meet once more for coffee and conversation at The British Library Cafe. The home of the world’s greatest stories.

From there, you’re free to choose your own adventure—perhaps exploring the incredible collections of the British Museum or National Portrait Gallery, or simply taking a peaceful walk through Tavistock Square Gardens, where Woolf and her contemporaries once wandered and wrote.

This is a small, carefully curated gathering—we want everyone to feel welcome, inspired, and included. That also means places are limited and tend to fill quickly.

Places on this trip are strictly limited - we want to be able to chat to everyone and make sure a wonderful time is had by all - but this means that places will go quickly!
