We’ll begin our Saturday at 10am with coffee and pastries in one of Bloomsbury’s charming cafés—an inviting spot where conversation flows easily and the spirit of the Bloomsbury Group still lingers in the air. It’s a relaxed and welcoming place to meet one another, share our first impressions, and set the tone for the day ahead.
From there, we’ll stroll to St. George’s Church, just a stone’s throw from where Virginia Woolf once lived. Inside this historic space, we’ll roll up our sleeves for a linocut printmaking workshop, led by Robyn and inspired by the bold, expressive work of Vanessa Bell. Don’t worry if you’ve never tried anything like this before—all materials are provided and no experience is necessary.
After a break for lunch (with plenty of suggestions nearby), we’ll regroup for an afternoon visit to The Courtauld Gallery. Set within the elegant Somerset House, this treasure trove includes work by members of the Bloomsbury Group, alongside a rich collection of modern art. There’ll be time to wander, reflect, and soak up the atmosphere at your own pace.
In the evening, we’ll gather at The Woolf & Whistle, an art-deco-inspired restaurant overlooking Tavistock Square Gardens. Here we’ll chat ‘Mrs Dalloway’ and all things Bloomsbury Group! Expect great conversation, games and lots of party talk!
This is a small, carefully curated gathering—we want everyone to feel welcome, inspired, and included.
We’ll put together a bespoke event for your group - what would you like us to include? Chat with us about what you would like from our suggested itinerary.
